Quest / Kumite mode revamped : imagine a SF6 World Tour but with Shenmue/Yakuza gameplay, you take the VF4 evo/VF5 concept of visiting different Arcades with various difficulty levels and tournaments, rank in them, tons of unlocking customisation item for your character and avatar as rewards, music, stages, costumes, titles, emblems, artworks etc. Virtua Fighter 6 would need to simplify some of its more demanding inputs, ditch E-sports, upgrade its sound design, scrap side turned state, add single player content outside of challenges, add a mode akin to Black Panther: Like a Dragon New Chapter, and include Yakuza/ Judgement characters. A guest like a Bloodborne hunter/Lady Maria or recurring members of the Dark Souls cast would be. Also simpler gameplay design akin to earlier entries without any momentum killing bullshit or E-sports focus. Soul Calibur VII would need Tekken 8 budget and production quality with single player content in tow. The single player content was weak as well. The balance was even worse with the charged ring out shenanigans of Hilde and absolute trash tier Rock. Not only did the guests feel out of place, but Yoda was a pure troll character. ![]() That says a lot when Soul Calibur V and Soul Edge are considered. Reversal Edge is the worst mechanic in the history of the series. Only features Soul Calibur II has over it is being multiplatform and having guests. Soul Calibur 3: Arcade Edition is arguably the best produced, balanced, and content filled entry of the series.
